Motherly Advice Week: Disappearing Footprints

14 May

Moms dish out all kinds of things:  nutritious food, hugs on demand (and even when not on demand), kisses for boo-boos, and plenty of advice.  This week, I’m sharing some of the best tips I’ve found over the years.  I hope you find them helpful!

Speaking of boo-boos, there’s nothing better than a fun bandage to cover up those little scratches and scrapes (I stock up on those when they’re on sale.)  But when the bandage comes off, it leaves a nasty little footprint behind.  And if your child is anything like my kids, the last thing he wants is to be scrubbed to get all that dirty, sticky leftover adhesive off his skin.

Motherly Advice:  Baby oil comes in handy for removing that leftover bandage adhesive!  Just pour a little onto a cotton ball or cotton swab, and rub it over that bandage footprint.  The dirt and adhesive comes off like magic.  It will even help loosen a stubborn bandage that’s stuck a little too tight.

And when you use a quality baby oil like Burts Bees Baby Bee Apricot Baby Oil, your child will smell magically delicious too!  This is great for your child’s skin and your sanity.  No more tantrums at bandage-removal time!
