Start Spreading the News…

24 May

Yesterday I heard the wonderful news that a friend of mine had just given birth to a baby girl!  As she went through this pregnancy, she and her husband made a decision that not many parents make anymore.

They chose to keep the baby’s gender a surprise–even to them–until the baby’s birth.

People drove them crazy wanting to know the baby’s gender so they could purchase appropriate gifts.  But it’s easy enough to make a baby registry with gender-neutral items–as well as items like babyproofing equipment that’s useful no matter whether the baby is a boy or a girl.

Whether you’ve got diapers, nursery decor or child-safety gadgets on your wish list of baby gifts, our baby registry sources will have you covered.

It seems like you never have a paper and pen when your child meets a new friend at the park or preschool and you’d like to set up a playdate.  That’s where “Mommy Business Cards” come in very handy.

Food Finder

30 Apr

When I was a kid, on vacation with my family, my dad would always lament the fact that no matter where we went, all of us kids would order hamburgers.

This is probably because the chicken nugget wasn’t invented until I was an older teenager.

But when you’re on a road trip, whether with family or on business, it’s hard to know where to find good food that doesn’t involve drive-through windows and burgers with “secret” sauce.
