A Fun Book to Read Together

This is a sweet book that parents and children can enjoy together. When your child starts to show that she has a sense of humor, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is a great story to share with her. It takes place in the town of Chewandswallow, where “precipitation” takes on a whole new meaning: food and beverages fall from the sky three times a day.

The illustrations in this book are super-detailed, and just as funny as the story itself. It’s a tall tale, full of exaggeration and fun. What would you do if you saw a tomato tornado?

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is a great read-aloud book. It’s challenging for new readers, but also fun for more advanced readers to enjoy on their own. My kids and I loved reading this book together. After you read the book, why not watch the movie together too?
