Montshire, a hands-on museum, located in Norwich, Vermont, has dozens of
exciting exhibits relating to the natural and physical sciences, ecology, and
technology. The building itself has been designed as an exhibit, with color
coded ventilation and heating systems, a see-through elevator hoistway, and
exposed timber trusses demonstrating construction techniques. The building is
located on a 110-acre site near the Connecticut River. The Museum's outdoor
environment, including a network of easy-to-moderate walking trails, is part of
the Montshire experience. The Museum is self-guided and is largely handicapped
accessible.

State Parks are along this lake including Button Bay (just south of Basin
Harbor), Grand Isle State Park (on the eastern side of Grand Isle off U.S. 2),
Burton Island and North Hero (off the north Tip of Grand Isle). Lake Champlain
is located along the northern half of the Vermont / New York border.
