Great Basin National Park includes streams, lakes, alpine plants, abundant
wildlife, a variety of forest types including groves of ancient bristlecone
pines, and numerous limestone caverns, including beautiful Lehman Caves.
Stop at the visitor center and take a tour of the cave. In the summer, drive the
scenic road to the base of Wheeler Peak. From there, follow easy to moderate
trails to alpine lakes and the bristlecone pine forest.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers a wealth of things to do and places to

At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding observation
tower in the United States and the tallest building west of the Mississippi
River. From the observation decks, lounge, restaurant, meeting, banquet and
private dining rooms, guests enjoy panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and
the surrounding valley. Visitors are whisked from ground level to the
observation decks in less than 30 seconds in double decker elevators traveling
at speeds of 1,800 feet per minute or three floors a second. Thrill seekers can
enjoy excitement over 100 stories above the ground on the Big Shot thrill ride
and the High Roller roller coaster. For the less daring, there is the Strat-O-Fair

Mohave is part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, which offers boating
and camping. Lake Mohave stays very close to the original course of the
Colorado River. Black Canyon, just below Hoover Dam and has scenic walls that
are very high of which many have hot springs flowing from them.
