Purpose: What is the 'Green' Seal of Approval?

"The New Parents Guide - 'Green' Seal of Approval"
is awarded to:
1) 'green' websites which excel in
providing helpful eco-friendly information to new and
expecting parents
-and-
2) 'green' products that are considered eco-friendly, organic and
exceptionally useful to infants, children or
parents. |

Eligibility guidelines:
- Site must be family friendly
- The site should be easy to navigate
and have a quality layout and design
- The site must be devoted to
families, new parents and expecting
parents with eco-friendly content that is helpful,
informative and useful
- Eco-friendly content that is considered helpful,
informative and useful includes: 'green' parenting information;
tips on organic baby
care and/or feeding; family entertainment
and family
travel tips that are eco-friendly; sites for toddlers and children
that teach children learn how to help
the environment;
and organic shopping for family, parents or
baby.
- Product(s) must be 'green', organic, helpful
and useful to infants, toddlers,
children, and/or new & expecting
parents.
Sites that are not eligible:
- Adult sites, casino or gambling
sites, prescription drug sites,
linkfarms, sites hosted on free servers, sites that may be offensive
to our viewers, political sites, sites
that promote violence, hate or
discrimination
- Sites that link to or advertise any
of the above
- Sites that contain inappropriate
language, photos or images
- Sites that are under construction or
incomplete with broken links
- Sites that use Black Hat SEO
techniques
Sites that are awarded the 'Green' Seal of
Approval agree to:
- Display one of the
'Green' Seal of
Approval images and link the 'Green' Seal of
Approval image to "The New Parents
Guide" homepage
- The location of the 'Green' Seal of
Approval is voluntary, but we recommend
that it be placed prominently on your
homepage or one click from your homepage
to show visitors that your site has been
awarded for
excellence
Nomination Process:
- You may nominate your own site or
one that you do not own but think
deserves recognition
- All sites must meet the criteria
stated above
- Email the following information to
"Green Seal of Approval"
Nomination
- Site owner name
- Company name or name of the site
- Short description of site
- URL of site
- URL of the page where the
'Green' Seal of
Approval will be displayed
- If you are sending a nomination
for a site that you do not own, please
note this in the nomination email.
- If you are sending a nomination
for a product, please send product
name, product description, web site
where we can review the product, and
a description of how you will be
using the 'Green' Seal of Approval for the
product (print media, newsletter,
web site, etc.)
Application review and approval
notification:
- When we receive a nomination, we
will review the site to determine if it
meets our eligibility guidelines.
This review process may take up
to 60+ days.
- If we determine the site meets
our eligibility guidelines and find that
it should be awarded the 'Green' Seal of
Approval, both you & the site
owner (if these are not the same) will be notified by email.
The email will include instructions on
how to obtain your 'Green' Seal of Approval
image.
- Please note that we reserve the
right to refuse awarding the 'Green' Seal of
Approval for any or for no reason at all.
We will not notify you if the
site is not approved for the award.
- If you have not received an approval
notification by email within 60 days of
the original nomination, you may
reapply if the site content has changed
or you think the site was mistakenly
overlooked.
- If your site has been approved for
the seal you can
request that your site
be included on our approved sites page.
General:
- Site owner or webmaster agrees to
remove the 'Green' Seal of Approval image and
link if the site is no longer eligible
or is asked by "The New Parents Guide"
to remove it.
- All nomination information will be
kept strictly confidential. (Privacy policy)
