This holiday season there are many toys for
babies, toddlers and preschoolers that are
sure to be hits. There are toys that will
help children with development and
education, toys that are born from popular
movies, and others that will become the next
fad and virtually disappear off the shelves.
With so many to choose from, there is sure
to be a special gift perfect for the little
one in your life.
Traditional Toys
Fisher-Price has many toys this year that
are scoring big on the hot toy list. Some of
these are classic developmental toys that
have new themes, upgraded features, and
lovable new characters. The
Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Sights & Sounds
Table is the latest activity table that
babies will love to investigate. With an
ocean theme and new knobs and buttons to
push, keeping babies who are old enough to
pull themselves up entertained is a snap.
Other toys include the traditional ride on
car like the
Fisher-Price Stride to Ride
Dinosaur. Ride him or push him, little ones
love dinosaurs and this green guy is the
perfect companion for the munchkin on the
move.
Interactive Toys
Interactive gaming devices for even the
youngest users are becoming more and more
popular. The
Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn: Learn and Move
Music Station is geared toward babies
nine months and older. This activity table
looks like a keyboard and plugs into the TV
for interactive gaming fun.
Do you have a preschooler to impress?
Children ages 4 years and older will love to
get their hands on the brand new
LeapFrog Leapster Explorer Learning Game
System. This handheld gaming device offers both
buttons and a touch screen to help children
navigate through the games and downloadable
apps.
Trendsetting Toys
Another Fisher-Price find is this year is a
'Tickle Me Elmo' style toy that is not Elmo
at all - in fact it is another familiar
character - the one and only Mickey Mouse!
Fisher Price Dance Star Mickey dances,
talks, and is sure to be a sellout this
shopping season!
Last year, Zhu Zhu Pets were all the rage
and will continue to be quite popular
particularly with the addition of the
Kung Zhu Pets. These Zhu Zhu Pets are
geared more toward boys with the ninja style
action carriers and accessories. Kung Zhu
Pets are giving a karate chop into a whole
new market of consumers.
Other trendsetting toys this year include
Lalaloopsy Dolls,
Sing-A-Ma-Jigs, and
Squinkies. Each of these toys offer a
unique collection of dolls or figures that
have their own personalities and
accessories. While one of these toys is sure
to be loved, having a whole collection of
the brood drives the appeal of these
marketing marvels.
Movie Inspired Toys
Movies are big for any age group and there
are plenty of toys to keep the excitement
alive! Toy Story 3 was one of the
most popular sequels of all time and a whole
new collection of merchandise is available
in time for holiday shopping. Kids will love
to see
Jessie and Bullseye under the Christmas
tree along with the rest of the Toy Story
gang.
Coming later this year is Disney's newest
heroine, Rapunzel, in the movie Tangled.
Little girls will love to add the
Disney Princess & Me Princess Doll -
Rapunzel to their collection.
Pretend Play Toys
There are plenty of hot toys this year that
inspire creativity and imagination. The
Fisher-Price
Imaginext Toy Story 3 Junkyard Playset

junkyard scene from the movie or make up
their own adventure!
