Wooden Spoon & Egg Race Game

Materials needed:

  • Wooden spoons

  • Eggs

  • Small flags or some type of markers for the yard

1.  Each team stands behind a starting line opposite their flags or markers, which are set about 20 feet apart from each other.

2.  Someone yells "start" and the first player in each line, balancing the egg on the spoon races around his team's flag and then back to the next player in line to transfer the egg onto the other players spoon.  As the second player runs towards the flag the first person gives the spoon to the third person in line.  If someone drops an egg, they must run to the starting line for another egg and the start again.

3.  The race is over when each player in line make a successful trip around the flag and back.
