Picture Matching Game

Materials needed:

  • 2 identical picture books

  • Construction paper

  • Glue & scissors

  • Hat or small bucket

  • Buy two inexpensive, IDENTICAL picture books.

  • Try to find a book that has many small pictures (a book on animals, for example).

  • For each player you will prepare a sheet of construction paper on which is glued six pictures.

  • Glue an identical set of six pictures on small individual pieces of paper.

  • Put all of the individual pieces in a hat.

  • When playing the game, draw out one of the individual pictures from the hat and give to the player who has the matching picture on his paper.

  • The first player to cover all six of his pictures is the winner.

  • Continue playing until all children match all of their pictures, to determine who is 2nd place winner, 3rd place, and so on.
