Materials
needed:

Large box (appliance or
furniture box)

Sheet
-
Scissors, string, clothes
pins & yardstick

Small gifts, candy, etc.

Gift wrapping paper

Obtain large cardboard carton, like
appliance or furniture box.
-
Cover box with a sheet. Cut small hole in
sheet. (This represents surface of the water)
-
Tie string to end of a stick or yardstick.
-
Tie clothes pin to end of string.
-
A “helper” sits in the fish pond (cut out
back of box to allow him/her to sit in it.
-
The “helper” attaches small gifts (favors)
to the clothes pin when each child goes fishing.
-
Wrap the favors in scraps of gift-wrap.
-
Children love to unwrap the favors.
-
If box not available, just hang sheet over
a doorway, with “helper” on the other side.
