Go Fishing Game

 

Materials needed:

  • Large box (appliance or furniture box)

  • Sheet

  • Scissors, string, clothes pins & yardstick

  • Small gifts, candy, etc.

  • Gift wrapping paper

 
  • Obtain large cardboard carton, like appliance or furniture box.

  • Cover box with a sheet. Cut small hole in sheet. (This represents surface of the water)

  • Tie string to end of a stick or yardstick.

  • Tie clothes pin to end of string.

  • A “helper” sits in the fish pond (cut out back of box to allow him/her to sit in it.

  • The “helper” attaches small gifts (favors) to the clothes pin when each child goes fishing.

  • Wrap the favors in scraps of gift-wrap.

  • Children love to unwrap the favors.

  • If box not available, just hang sheet over a doorway, with “helper” on the other side.
