The Canaan Valley Resort is located in
Davis, West Virginia, bordering Monongahela
National Forest and amongst 6,300 acres of
state parkland. Lodging encompasses 250
guest rooms, 23 private cabins and cottages,
as well as 34 campsites. The resort features
a number of family-friendly amenities
including a children’s activity program,
Kidz Corner, where they will be entertained
and supervised. Children can be dropped off
at Kidz Corner anywhere from an hour to an
entire day. Additionally, children under 12
who are lodging with their parents receive
free accommodations and lift tickets good
for the same day as the parents’ tickets.
For the older children and parents, Canaan
Valley Resort offers 39 slopes for skiing,
tubing, and snowboarding. In the summer,

Valley near Blackwater Falls State Park.
Nearby are the Monongahela National Forest
and the Kumbrabrow State Forest for all of
