Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is the Midwest's largest full service, year-round resort and conference center. Situated on 900 acres in the northwest corner of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula along the shores of Lake Michigan’s East Grand Traverse Bay, the resort is located six miles northeast of Traverse City, MI and ten minutes from Traverse City’s Cherry Capital Airport. Accommodations include a six-story hotel which offers 238 spacious guest rooms, many with gorgeous views;  The 17 store Tower which offers 186 large, luxuriously appointed rooms and suites; and studio, one, two and three bedroom condominiums are available in a variety of locations and decor. Family activities include power and sail boat rentals, plus jet skis, ski boats and parasails; fishing; biking and rollerblading on beautiful, child-friendly trails; horseback riding lessons and trail rides through woods and dunes; canoeing, kayaking or floating on local rivers and streams and more. The resort also offers a 2,000 square-foot children's center, The Cub House, that provides fun in a secure setting for kids to age 8. Licensed daycare includes an extensive selection of organized, well-supervised activities, including games, arts and crafts, and storytime. For older children, there's Cub Camp, an exciting day camp experience for kids ages 7-12. Full- and half-day programs and 24-hour babysitting are also available.

The Grand Hotel built in 1887 is located on the beautiful Mackinac island. Perhaps the most noticeable first impression of Mackinac Island is the absence of automobiles. The Homestead Resort is located on Lake Michigan at Glen Arbor, about 26 miles west of Traverse City, Michigan. The resort offers two small hotels, a lodge, an inn and a range of privately owned single family residences and resort condominiums. Activities include golf and tennis with panoramic views of Lake Michigan; dedicated learning center with group and private lessons for children and adults in golf, tennis, swimming, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing; fitness center, canoeing, swimming in four pools (one with a waterfall, and one with a waterslide, and two spa pools.
